AHMC Health Foundation Grant-in-Aid Program

We appreciate your continued interest in the AHMC Health Foundation.

The AHMC Health Foundation, a non-profit organization formed in 2009, exists to improve the quality of life for people in the communities served by AHMC hospitals. The Foundation intends to focus on addressing the disparities in health care particularly those that are the result of cultural and linguistic barriers that impede individuals from accessing care. The Foundation recognizes that the needs of communities differ due to a multitude of socioeconomic factors and that no singular approach to addressing unmet health needs is sufficient.

The Foundation's Grant-in-Aid program will support programs and projects aimed at mitigating health issues prevalent in the areas served by AHMC hospitals. Such Projects and programs will be selected on the basis of their potential to make a demonstrable impact on the health status of the target communities. Grants must address a pressing healthcare need in the community and the grant seeking agency must demonstrate its commitment to the project by sharing a portion of the project's cost. The maximum amount awarded under the Grant-in-Aid program to a single grantee within one calendar year should not exceed $50,000. Only nonprofit charitable [501 © 3] organizations or governmental agencies are eligible to receive funding from AHMC Health Foundation's Grant-in-Aid program.

The AHMC Health Foundation will evaluate applications for the Grant-in-Aid program as they are received. Applicants will be notified of the board's decision within ninety (90) days of proposal submission.
